Glance for PV - Terms of Use

These terms cover Glance for PV on Apple devices and Android, provided by Daniel Szlaski. Read them with the Privacy Policy.

1. License and Platform Scope

The Apple version uses Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, unless a custom license is supplied through the App Store. For Android, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to install and use the App on compatible devices you own or control, subject to these terms and applicable Google Play terms. Do not redistribute or resell it or bypass its protections, except where law permits.

2. Connections and Responsible Use

Use only solar systems and credentials you are authorized to access. Keep API secrets secure and follow your provider's terms. Glance for PV is an unofficial companion and is not endorsed by the inverter manufacturers. Android currently uses SolisCloud; supported Apple versions also offer local Modbus TCP. Features differ by platform.

Readings, forecasts and energy suggestions are informational estimates. Delays, inaccurate source data, outages and system restrictions can affect them. The App is not a safety system or a guarantee of generation, battery availability, or savings. Follow manufacturer instructions and use qualified assistance for electrical work.

3. Purchases and Refunds

The live-feature unlock is a one-time in-app purchase, not an auto-renewing subscription. The store shows the current price and included features before confirmation. Apple processes Apple-version purchases; Google Play processes Android purchases. Restore eligible purchases using the original store account. A purchase through one store does not automatically unlock the other platform.

Request refunds through the store where you purchased; contact us for help with Google Play purchases or an unlock that does not work. Refunds are subject to applicable store procedures and law. Your statutory consumer rights remain in force.

4. Availability and Changes

Use a device compatible with the store listing (Android 8.0 or later for the current Android version). Cloud data and purchases require internet access. Widgets and notifications depend on device support, permissions, battery settings and operating-system scheduling. A live-feature purchase does not guarantee a fixed refresh interval.

We may update the App and these terms, with a revised date on this page. Changes will not remove rights attached to purchases already made. Nothing here excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights relating to faulty digital content.
