LowBat - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application LowBat ("the App"), developed by Daniel Szlaski ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use the App. LowBat is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store for iOS devices.

1. Information We Collect

LowBat does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The App has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Everything runs locally on your device and your local network.

2. Philips Hue Bridge

If you choose to use the Hue integration, LowBat communicates directly with your Philips Hue Bridge over your local Wi-Fi network using the official Hue local API. A Hue cloud account is not required. The bridge IP address and the local API username issued by your bridge are stored only on your device (in the iOS Keychain and local app storage) and are never transmitted to us or to any third party.

3. HomeKit Data

If you grant LowBat access to HomeKit, the App reads battery-level characteristics from your HomeKit accessories using Apple's HomeKit framework. HomeKit data never leaves your iPhone. Apple's handling of HomeKit data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Notifications

LowBat can send local notifications when an accessory drops below your chosen battery threshold. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. No push notification server is involved, and no device tokens are transmitted.

5. Widgets

Home Screen widgets read battery data from the same local sources (your Hue Bridge and/or HomeKit) and render on your device. Widget data is not transmitted off-device.

6. Third-Party Services

LowBat does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The App is built entirely with native Apple frameworks and standard local networking for the Hue Bridge.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third parties, because we do not receive any of your data in the first place. All information processed by LowBat stays on your device and your local network.

8. Data Retention

Configuration (such as your selected notification threshold and the local Hue Bridge credentials) is stored on your device for as long as the App is installed. Deleting the App removes this data.

9. Children's Privacy

LowBat does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. The App collects no personal data at all.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
